ONTONAGON, MI — A remote Upper Peninsula spot was picked as a one of the best places to in the nation to skinny-dip, according to a dating website.
Michigan's Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park was picked as the third-best spot in the nation and 31 best in the world to go skinny dipping, according to My Dating Advisor.
The park, better known as "The Porkies," is located in the western Upper Peninsula and has nearly 100 miles of trails and 23 miles of Lake Superior shoreline.

The website determined its list based on the location's safety, weather, nearby lodging costs and if the beach itself is high quality.
However, the selection of the park is an interesting choice because the chilly waters of Lake Superior only reach an average high of 52 degrees in the summer months.

While the website considers the park one of the best places to swim nude, a Michigan Penal Code qualifies nude swimming as indecent exposure, which is against the law and you could be fined up to $1,000 in addition to time behind bars.
