Munising areas can see 10 inches of snow while areas around Sault Ste. Marie can see between 6 and 8 inches of fresh snow by Thursday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters warned strong winds in the region could cause blowing snow and reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less, creating dangerous road conditions, according to the National Weather Service.
