MI Woman Wins $500K After 'Random Urge' To Buy Scratch-Off Ticket
With her winnings, she plans to pay bills and then save the remainder, according to lottery officials.

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI — A Muskegon County woman won $500,000 on a scratch-off ticket after she had a "random urge" to buy the ticket, according to Michigan Lottery officials.
The lucky 64-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning 777 Jackpot ticket at the McCormick gas station, located at 1845 White Lake Drive in Whitehall, according to lottery officials.
Whitehall is roughly 15 miles northwest of Muskegon.

"It hadn’t played the Lottery in a while, but I had a random urge to purchase an instant ticket one day," the woman told lottery officials. "I scratched the ticket when I got home and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I revealed a $500,000 prize! I told my husband the good news by showing him my winning ticket."
With her winnings, she plans to pay bills and then save the remainder, according to lottery officials.

"Winning this prize will allow me to become debt free, and that is going to be a great feeling," the woman told lottery officials.
