HGTV​ put together a list with the most affluent neighborhood in each state. Here's what they said about Michigan:

MICHIGAN — The most expensive neighborhood in Michigan sits along Lake Michigan in the southwest part of the state, according to HGTV.

The popular TV channel says Lakeside, located in Berrien County, is the most "upscale" town in Michigan.

Lakeside is home to less than 300 people and is part of the Harbor Country region that sits along the shores of Lake Michigan.

Most of the people in the affluent neighborhood live in restored historic cottages. Guests can stay at the historic Lakeside Inn, which has 31 rooms, each with unique features, and a 100-foot porch facing Lake Michigan.

The average home in Lakeside costs $2,652,417, though you can expect to pay more for Lake Michigan frontage. A nine-bedroom Georgian estate with a wine cellar, swimming pool and guest house is on track to be among the priciest sales thanks to a list price of $9,450,000.

To put together the list, the TV channel used data from CashNetUSA and Zillow to find the most expensive neighborhoods in each state.
