SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Near-record temperatures are expected across southeastern Michigan on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday afternoon highs across southeastern Michigan will hit the low 80s, which is roughly 20 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year, according to the weather service.
Other parts of Michigan are also expected to see record high temperatures at or near 80s degrees Monday. Traverse City hit a record high of 79 degrees on Sunday, according to the weather service.

After Monday, high temperatures across southeastern Michigan will then gradually begin falling, eventually dropping into the 50s on Thursday, according to the weather service.
Highs across southeastern Michigan will slightly warm back up into the 60s Friday, along with the region's next chance for rain, according to the weather service.
