MICHIGAN — Some parts of the Upper Peninsula can see up to 9 inches of snow by Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow showers will move into the region Tuesday and intensify overnight, especially in the eastern Upper Peninsula, according to the National Weather Service.
In addition, forecasters warned wind gusts can reach up to 40 miles per hour, causing blowing and drifting snow that could lead to dangerous travel conditions in the area, according to the National Weather Service.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for Chippewa, Alger, Luce and Northern Schoolcraft counties through 7 a.m. Wednesday, when the snow showers are expected to dissipate, according to the National Weather Service.
Other parts of the eastern portion of the Upper Peninsula can see between 4 and 6 inches of snow, while most of the region will likely see roughly 1 to 2 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
