A video in the Pentagon’s latest UFO dump shows a U.S. fighter jet shooting down a mysterious object in Michigan.

The infrared clip shows an unidentified object over the water when the F-16 zeroed in on the object and shot it down.

The object, which appeared to be shaped like a diamond, exploded with what looked like shrapnel scattering over the water.
"The footage appears to depict a kinetic interaction between two distinct areas of contrast, with the initial subject of the footage fragmenting in a radial displacement pattern that suggests a high-energy event," the video description says.

Officials did not speculate about the object's origin. Rather, they said the clip was released for informational purposes only.
"Readers should not interpret any part of this description as reflecting an analytical judgment, investigative conclusion, or factual determination regarding the described event’s validity, nature, or significance," the statement said.
The 46-second video was released Friday as part of the second batch of UFO records released by the Trump Administration. The U.S. government has now released over 220 declassified files related to Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).
