Popular Northern MI Scenic Drive Temporality Closes
A popular northern Michigan scenic drive is temporality closed down for road work, according to the National Park Service.

EMPIRE, MI — A popular northern Michigan scenic drive is temporality closed down for road work, according to the National Park Service.
The Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive along Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore will be closed Thursday for pavement preservation and resurfacing, according to the National Park Service.
The road is expected to reopen Saturday, June 8, according to the National Park Service.

The 7-mile seasonal driving route features beautiful views of Lake Michigan, the Glen Lakes and the park’s namesake dunes.
Officials encouraged drivers to visit the Dune Climb, Sleeping Bear Point Trail, Empire Bluff Trail, or Esch Beach for views of the park's dune plateau while the route is closed.
