Consumers are advised not to eat the affected products and to discard them.
A voluntary recall of several popular potato chip varieties is affecting products distributed nationwide, according to an announcement from Utz Quality Foods.
The recall includes select flavors of Zapp’s and Dirty brand potato chips due to a potential risk of Salmonella contamination linked to a seasoning ingredient supplied by a third party. While the seasoning tested negative before use, the company said it is acting out of an abundance of caution.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products.
