Most of Michigan, including parts of the Upper Peninsula, will see temperatures climb into the 60s next week, smashing records across the state, according to the National Weather Service.

The record warmth will bleed over into Wednesday when most of lower Michigan will likely see high temperatures in the 60s again, according to the National Weather Service.

Before the warmer weather moves into Michigan next week, temperatures will slightly cool this weekend when an arctic air mass plunges into the state, pushing temperatures down into the 30s and 40s, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures will then warm back into the 50s Monday with rain chances in southeastern Michigan, according to the National Weather Service.

There are also chances for rain across southeastern Michigan on Tuesday and Wednesday when record highs settle into the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday: Partly sunny; High 42, Low 20

Saturday: Sunny; High 32, Low 20

Sunday: Sunny; High 47, Low 34

Monday: Sunny, then chance of rain; High 52, Low 45
