Severe Storms, Heavy Rain Possible Tuesday For Detroit Area
Forecasters warned the severe storms could bring damaging wind, large hail, flooding and an isolated weak tornado.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Thunderstorms can hit southeastern Michigan late Tuesday, with storms south of Interstate 69 potentially becoming severe, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will reach a calm 68 degrees Monday across southeastern Michigan with some sunshine, according to the weather service.
The sunshine bleeds over into Tuesday morning as high temperatures across southeastern Michigan will hit 70 degrees in the afternoon hours, just as showers and thunderstorms move into the region, according to the weather service.

Areas south of Interstate 69, specially a line from Flint to Detroit will be at a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for severe thunderstorms Tuesday.

Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week across southeastern Michigan as highs should hit 80 degrees under clear and sunny skies, according to the weather service.
After a gorgeous Wednesday, highs will fall back down into the 60s with multiple chances for rain and thunderstorms to round out the week across southeastern Michigan, according to the weather service.
