Thunderstorms can hit southeastern Michigan over the next couple of days as temperatures warm back up into the 80s, forecasters said.

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Scattered thunderstorms can hit southeastern Michigan over the next few days as part of a weather system that will push high temperatures back into the 80s across the regions, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday should stay mostly dry as temperatures reach the mid 70s across southeastern Michigan, but there is a chance for non-severe isolated thunderstorms in the nighttime hours, according to the weather service.

Friday brings better chances as widespread rain showers will blanket southeastern Michigan through the afternoon and evening hours when highs hit the upper 70s, according to the weather service.

Thunderstorms are also expected in the region Friday afternoon, but forecasters do not expect any severe weather, according to the weather service.

The rain and storms in southeastern Michigan will fizzle away by Saturday morning when highs climb toward 80 degrees under sunny skies across the region, according to the weather service.

Temperatures move back into the 80s across southeastern Michigan on Sunday and into early next week before rain chances return Monday night, according to the weather service.

Thursday: Sunny; High 76, Low 56

Friday: Rain; High 77, Low 60

Saturday: Sunny; High 79, Low 60

Sunday: Sunny; High 81, Low 60

Monday: Sunny/Rain; High 82, Low 64
