Tornado Touched Down In SE MI, Numerous Buildings Damaged: NWS

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado ripped through Dundee on Saturday morning.

DUNDEE, MI — The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado ripped through Dundee on Saturday morning.

The tornado quickly made its way through the downtown area of Dundee, damaging numerous buildings along its path, the weather service said.

Meteorologists said the tornado reached wind gusts as high as 80 miles per hour along its roughly seven mile path with a width of about 75 yards.

The tornado touched down at the intersection of Brewer and Petersburg Roads at 11:03 a.m. and ended five minutes later at 11:08 a.m. near the intersection of Dixon and Sullivan Roads, the weather service said.

Officials did not report any injuries.
