BRANCH COUNTY, MI — An elderly woman was rescued from her SUV after it overturned onto a frozen lake in Michigan on Wednesday night, according to sheriff's officials.

The crash happened at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Centennial and Warren roads in Branch County, according to sheriff's officials.

Officials said the 84-year-old Kinderhook woman drove off the road and overturned onto a frozen Coldwater Lake, trapping her inside the SUV.

Officials pulled the woman from the SUV and took her to Insight Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to sheriff's officials.

Police were still investigating the crash.
