• Students return to class one town away after fire shut down their elementary school (mlive.com) — Students from Otsego's fire-damaged Dix Street Elementary are now back in class at a temporary campus inside Allegan's former Pine Trails Elementary, newly dubbed "Dix Street West." Allegan Public Schools and a private buyer paused the building's sale so Otsego could use it, while staff and contractors quickly readied classrooms, security systems, and plans for a community Fall Fest open house.
   

• Otsego girls swim & dive edges past Allegan in league dual (wilcoxnewspapers.com) — Allegan High School's girls swim and dive team narrowly fell to Otsego, 83-75, despite winning most of the swimming events and both freestyle relays. Several Allegan swimmers, including freshmen standouts and relay teams, posted season-best times and big improvements, highlighting strong depth and promising young talent for the Tigers' program.
