• Two-vehicle crash in Allendale leaves 1 dead, 1 injured Friday afternoon, Ottawa County deputies say (fox17online.com) — A deadly two-vehicle crash at 78th Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale Friday afternoon killed a 34-year-old local man and injured a 55-year-old Zeeland driver. Ottawa County deputies say the Zeeland man was hospitalized and the crash remains under investigation, and they’re asking anyone who saw what happened to contact the sheriff’s office with information. 
• Driver extricated after semi, trailer roll over in Ottawa County crash (mlive.com) — A 72-year-old Allendale man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after his gravel truck, loaded with 40,000 pounds of sand, rolled onto its side at the Port Sheldon Street and 120th Avenue roundabout Friday afternoon. Olive Township firefighters extricated him from the cab, and the busy intersection stayed partially closed for cleanup while Ottawa County deputies continued investigating.
• Grand Rapids-area Week 6 high school football scoreboard (mlive.com) — Allendale football fans saw a tight matchup Friday as Greenville edged the Falcons 31–25 in River Cities Alliance play. The game was part of a busy Week 6 around Grand Rapids, where several teams stayed undefeated and others finally grabbed their first wins of the season.
