• What to know about Taste of Ann Arbor for 2026 (mlive.com) — Downtown Ann Arbor’s Taste of Ann Arbor returns Sunday, May 31, filling Main Street with bite-sized dishes from two dozen local restaurants and a new reusable-plate system. You’ll find $1–$6 tastes, online ticket bundles with bamboo cutlery, DJ entertainment, and info on A2ZERO Week and local organizations.    

• Facelifts planned for 26 miles of local roads near Ann Arbor this summer (mlive.com) — Expect lane restrictions and a few closures on key roads around Ann Arbor this summer as the Washtenaw County Road Commission sealcoats about 26 miles of pavement. Projects span June and July on routes like Earhart, Platt, Weber, and Dexter-Chelsea roads, so drivers should plan for slower speeds, loose stones, and occasional detours.    

• Regents discuss acquisition of Concordia, approve Scarlatta (michigandaily.com) — University of Michigan regents have approved buying the Concordia University Ann Arbor campus, despite opposition from Ann Arbor City Council and some state lawmakers, with plans to keep facilities available for local use and preserve river access. At the same meeting, regents confirmed Gabriella Scarlatta as U‑M Dearborn chancellor and heard emotional public comments urging Michigan Medicine to restore gender‑affirming care for minors.
