The group aims to link families, schools, law enforcement, and organizations so residents can spot problems early, connect youth with mentors and activities, and join an ongoing conversation starting with a community meeting on October 3.
   

• Michigan gas prices drop 24 cents after last week's price surge eases, AAA says (cbsnews.com) — Benton Harbor drivers are paying among the highest gas prices in Michigan right now, with averages around $4.72 per gallon even after a recent statewide price drop. A refinery coming back online has eased last week's spike, but prices remain well above last month and last year, so residents should still expect noticeably higher fill-up costs.
