On Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 6:30 PM in the Berkley High School Auditorium, the chair of the Detroit/Ann Arbor chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Mr. Jeff Edwards, will be presenting on the causes and myths associated with teen suicide.
This is a free presentation to the community.
Mr. Edwards has presented to schools and communities across the state on this topic, seeking to increase awareness about the issue since his son, Chase, took his own life in 2006 at the age of 12. In fact, Michigan passed a law in Chase's honor that encourages all schools in the state to have suicide prevention programs.
