Community Corner

STOP WAL-MART

Residents of the City of Southfield are opposed to the construction of a Wal-Mart SuperCenter at the corner of 12 mile and Southfield Rd which is presently St. Bede Church. Southfield City Council is meeting on Monday December 3, 2012 to have discussions with the residents and to hear the objections.  All adjoining communities are asked to attend as to this project devestates all the surrounding communites in terms of elevated crime, reduction in property value, Wal-Mart carries a high destruction environmental impact with a huge carbor footprint and becomes a tax burden on the community it's in.  Meeeting: City Council  Southfield Civic Center  26000 Evergreen Rd, Southfield, MI 48076 Cross Streets: Near the intersection of Evergreen Rd and Kingsgate.  7pm.  Please join Southfield residents.
