Grace Centers of Hope will host the 8th Annual ‘Walk a Mile in My Shoes’ Walk-a-Thon at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak on Saturday, June 1, 2013. Proceeds from the event will support the Homeless Children’s Programs and Childcare Center at Grace Centers of Hope, one of the largest homeless shelters in Southeast Michigan. Event day registration begins at 7:45 a.m., Top Team’s Award Announcements and the Walk begins at 8:45 a.m. Participants must register online. Cost is $10 per person (ages 10 and up) and $5 children ages (9 -2). There is no cost for children two years and under. Grace Centers of Hope is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization and all donations greater than $25 are tax-deductible.
