To honor their late sister and to recognize the love and care she receive at Detroit Medical Center Children’s Hospital of Michigan, two sisters from Clawson created this year’s 2013 Children’s Hospital of Michigan Auxiliary holiday card design.
Proceeds from the cards, which are available for purchase online and at select retail outlets, support child health causes.

Claire and Lucy Thomson, ages 9 and 5, drew the pictures in honor of their sister, Natalie, who was a patient at the hospital from birth until she passed away from end-stage renal disease a few days before her first birthday. The Thomson family of Clawson holds all who cared for Natalie close in their hearts.
The card features two images. Claire created the front design with a snowman in the woods under a starry night sky. Lucy drew the back image, a holiday tree with presents. The inside of the card reads, “Warmest wishes for a wonderful holiday season.”
