Lawmakers Hosting Affordable Care Act Discussions Monday
A special presenter from the Michigan Universal Health Care Access Network will be on hand to answer health-care coverage concerns with area residents.

State legislators representing Oakland County will be joined by Margie Mitchell, a representative of the Michigan Universal Health Care Access Network (MICHUHCAN) Monday to discuss the Affordable Care Act.
The presentation will be held from 10-10:30 a.m. at Oak Park Recreation Building, 14300 Oak Park Blvd. in Oak Park.
Sponsoring the presentation are District 14 state Sen. Vincent Gregory, D-Southfield, and District 27 state Rep. Ellen Cogen Lipton, D-Huntington Woods.

Mitchell will be available to help answer individual health-care coverage questions and other concerns residents may have.
Mitchell will also join Gregory during his regularly scheduled “coffee hours” from 1-2 p.m. at the Southfield Public Library, 26300 Evergreen Road, in Southfield.

Senate District 14 includes the cities of Farmington, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Lathrup Village, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge and Southfield, aand Royal Oak Township and Southfield Township.
House District 27 includes the cities of Berkley, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Oak Park and Pleasant Ridge, and the Royal Oak Township.
