Recently at the studio we focused our attention to the word truth. This word always requires me to self reflect and ponder what are my truths and what are the absolute truths. Finding truth is unique to everyone. The truth is that we are all connected as a collective consciousness, that at its core level is love. When we begin pealing the layers of separation, we begin to develop not only a deeper connection to who we are, but to all things. I often explain the yoga practice as a process of removing layers of embedded fears, insecurities, emotional pain, ignorance and whatever else is holding us back from living our best life. To do the work of unlearning these habits and behaviors and going out of our comfort zone requires a lot of courage, strength, resiliency, and bravery. The reward many times will be the growth needed to bring you closer to the truth of who you are and what your purpose is. The practice is being patient, showing up for yourself, being present, grateful, mindful, accountable, having faith, and enjoying the process. Don’t force it. Let your path unfold naturally. This is not a quick fix with short-term results. This is a life long process with lasting results. At the root of finding truth is finding everlasting love. To me this means self-created love. Doing what you love, spending time with the people you love and spreading the love.
Namaste!
