• Artworks launches 10-week Big Rapids fundraising campaign with $30K goal (ourmidland.com) — Artworks in downtown Big Rapids has launched a ten-week ā€œSeason After Seasonā€ fundraising campaign to support local exhibitions, children’s programs, outreach, building improvements, and its endowment. With a $30,000 goal and a dollar-for-dollar match from major supporters, donations during the campaign will go twice as far toward sustaining arts and humanities in the community.

• Jim Crow Museum opens to the public (fsutorch.com) — Big Rapids residents can now visit the newly opened Jim Crow Museum of Racist Imagery on the Ferris State campus, a 26,000-square-foot facility at 825 Campus Drive. The $22 million museum, free for Ferris students and faculty and low-cost for visitors, houses more than 30,000 artifacts and aims to confront racism while educating the campus and wider community.
