• 13 Hispanic students attended Greenfield Elementary in 2024-25 (seoaklandnews.com) — Families in Birmingham Public Schools can see how Greenfield Elementary's demographics are shifting, with 13 Hispanic students enrolled in 2024-25, down slightly from last year and representing 5.2% of the school. The Beverly Hills–based Birmingham district reports 248 total students at Greenfield, while statewide enrollment continues to decline modestly since before the pandemic.
   

• In-state DL prospect to take unofficial visit to MSU football in October (usatoday.com) — A Birmingham Seaholm High defensive lineman, Harrison Bowers, is drawing early college attention and will take an unofficial recruiting visit to Michigan State for its Oct. 10 home game. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound 2029 prospect from Birmingham already holds an offer from Kent State and is beginning to emerge on major recruiting sites' radars.
