Southfield, Mich.-based Farbman Group, a leading full-service real estate company, has partnered with Birmingham-based Beyond Basics, a nonprofit organization that aims to assist at-risk children by developing fundamental reading and writing skills, to collect coat donations for their annual coat drive. The company has placed collection boxes at numerous Farbman Group buildings throughout metro Detroit and will collect donated coats from now until Nov. 7. Andrew V. Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group, made the announcement.
For this corporate giving partnership, Farbman is collecting new and gently used coats in sizes 3T through adult. Other winter items including hats, scarves, gloves and mittens are also welcome to be placed in the donation boxes.
“Farbman Group is extremely proud to put the call out to the local community and our building tenants to donate coats in partnership with Beyond Basics,” said Farbman. “We saw this coat drive as an opportunity to positively impact the lives of our neighbors in need with warm coats during the cold Michigan winter months.”
