Nov. 7 event will preview highlights of streetscape upgrades in the Old Woodward and Maple area.
BIRMINGHAM, MI – The community is invited to attend a public open house to learn more about streetscape upgrades planned for the next several years. The City of Birmingham will invest in the city's infrastructure by investing in the water system, sewer system and streetscape upgrades in the Central Business District, according to a city press release. The map below details the affected area.

The open house will be Monday, November 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baldwin Public Library, 2nd floor. (300 Merrill St., Birmingham). The project consultant, MKSK, will present proposed designs for the complete redesign of Old Woodward and Maple in Downtown Birmingham. Topics discussed will include: road design, on-street parking, pedestrian crossings, sidewalks and streetscape.
A webpage has been created to share information about the project as it evolves and can be found at www.bhamgov.org/DowntownInfrastructure.
