Deer Shows No Fear in Quest for Beer

How good is the beer at Birmingham’s Griffin Claw Brewing Co.?

It’s so good that buck tried to get a lick at the taps behind a glass window at the microbrewery at 575 S. Eaton St., WJBK, Channel 2, and WXYZ, Channel 7, report.

Or at least that’s how it appeared on a video employees captured when they saw the deer roaming the streets.

The deer “jumped up pretty high” and hit the glass, brewmaster Dan Rogers said. “He bounced off, got back off, ran down the street down the ways, turn around, and cut into our parking lot, and started heading south.”

The deer wasn’t injured, but may have a wee bit of a headache – a hangover of a sort – after ramming the window at full speed.

The only damage to the brewery window was “just a little slobber,” tap room manager Julie Pete said.
