College Fund for Beverly Hills Student After Dad Killed
College for his only child was an important goal of F. Kevan Bowers, killed last weekend while riding his motorcycle.

A crowdfunding campaign has been established to support future educational needs for a Beverly Elementary School fourth-grader whose father was killed in a traffic accident last weekend.
Brooke Bowers is F. Kevan Bowers’ only child. According to the GoFundMe site set up by MonaLisa Andrews, ensuring Brooke has a chance to go to college is important to the Bowers family. The family requests donations to an educational trust in her name in lieu of flowers.
Michigan State Police said Bowers, 49, of Southfield, and Marko Cigatino Rubin, 48, of Macomb Township, were riding their motorcycles on Interstate 94 near Oakwood Boulevard around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, when a woman lost control of her Ford Escape, which crossed the median and struck them.

More than $3,000 has been raised in two days to support Bowers’ daughter.

“Thank you for all of your support of Brooke and her family during this difficult time,” Andrews wrote on GoFundMe. “Her family truly appreciates all of your kind gestures and concern.
