The 2012 Birmingham Bike Festival returns for its second straight year on Sunday, August 26th. The festival will begin at 8:00am with the Junior 10-14 bike race and will conclude with the Professional 1/2 race, which will run from 3:40-5:00pm. This year’s event will be even more exciting than it was a year ago. The 2012 festival will showcase bike races, donate to several more charitable organizations, and feature live entertainment in Shain Park. There will be vendors representing a wide variety of items for sale along with participation from the local Birmingham community services, such as The community House. Similar to last year, Birmingham Bike Festival will be rewarding its top bikers with $10,000 in total prizes.
