FARBMAN GROUP TO HOST 7th ANNUAL "CHRISTMAS IN JANUARY" FOOD DRIVE TO SUPPORT GLEANERS COMMUNITY FOOD BANK

Southfield, Mich.-based Farbman Group, a leading full-service real estate company, announced today that they are hosting a food drive to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. The event is taking place now through January 28th at four Farbman Group office buildings located in Southfield, Bingham Farms, Detroit and Troy.

“The ‘Christmas in January’ food drive has proven to be a wonderful opportunity for our community and tenants to come together and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need during this time of year,” said Andy Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group. “As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are extremely grateful for the many wonderful organizations who are doing great things in southeast Michigan, like Gleaners.”

As an added incentive to donate, each person who contributes either five cans of food or $5 during the day of the food drive will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an iPad Mini, complements of Farbman Group.

Gleaners Food Bank recommends donating high protein canned items such as peanut butter, tuna fish and beans. There is also a great need for individually packaged healthy snacks for kids, such as fruit cups, granola bars and pretzels. Personal care items such as toothpaste, deodorant and soap will be collected as well.
