I stand accused

I know the accusers are well meaning but...They could be wrong. I prefer that route.

Regarding public meetings of elected Birmingham Board, Commission members and a few City employees, all highly respected by me but perhaps in need of a little training. In front of them at meetings, are quite long flexible ‘sticks’ with an oval piece at the end. I’ve been told these are ‘microphones’. All well so far, including Dan who runs the recording of meetings. But back to the microphones. These are meant to be spoken into in a clear, articulate manner, after being positioned in front and near each speaker. This idea it seems is not well ingrained. So please, for those of us in the audience, who of course are ‘falsely’ accused of being hearing impaired, please, try harder?
