JUDGE AVERN COHN, THE DETROIT FREE PRESS AND PROFESSOR JOHN TODD TO RECEIVE "PATRIOT OF THE YEAR" AWARDS
"Ben Franklin" To Keynote Patriot Week's Patrick Henry Event

WHAT: Patriot Week will host its Third Annual Patrick Henry Event to honor this year’s Patriot of the Year Award recipients and commemorate the anniversary of Patrick Henry’s Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death! speech. The family-friendly evening will also feature special guest Christopher Lowell, internationally recognized actor and historian, as “Benjamin Franklin” to deliver the keynote address and Michigan Supreme Court Justice David Viviano as emcee.
WHY: “Patriot Week renews the spirit of America by celebrating our founding First Principles, key documents and speeches, founding fathers and other great patriots, and flags from our history,” remarked Judge Michael Warren, co-founder of Patriot Week with his, then 10-year-old, daughter, Leah. “To maintain our liberties, we need to recognize not only the contributions of individuals like Patrick Henry and Benjamin Franklin, but also applaud the contributions of modern day Patriots like Judge Cohn, the Detroit Free Press and Professor Todd.”
