Man Knocking at Birmingham Door Wasn't Thinking Romance: Police
When questioned by police, man said he was looking for a woman he'd met on a dating app. After searching his car, they didn't believe that.

BIRMINGHAM, MI – A story given by a Berkley man who knocked at the door of Birmingham home around 1:30 on a recent morning didn’t add up, police said.

When questioned by police, the man, 24, claimed he was looking for a woman he had met through an online dating app.

But he brought a cache of unusual items — brass knuckles, a gun and two loaded magazines and a pocket knife — that didn’t seem to indicate romance was on his mind, according to The Birmingham Eccentric.
More likely, police said, he was looking to rob the residence in the 1900 block of Melton on March 16.

The gun was confiscated and the case was referred to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, which is reviewing possible criminal charges.
