Motorist Crawls Through Sunroof, Assaults Driver: Police
After witnessing a rear-end collision, man allegedly followed motorist, squeezed through the sunroof and began assaulting the other driver.
A man whose girlfriend was involved in a rear-end collision chased down the motorist who reportedly caused it and allegedly climbed through an open sunroof and began assaulting him, Birmingham police said.
On Oct. 26, two vehicles involved in the accident were traveling on Cole Street near South Hampton, Police Commander Scott Grewe told The Birmingham Eccentric. Apparently upset about the woman’s driving, the man pulled in front of her vehicle and slammed on his brakes, causing her vehicle to strike his.
That’s when the woman’s boyfriend, who witnessed the accident, got into his own vehicle and began following the other motorist. When the two vehicles were stopped at a red light at Maple Road and Poppleton, the boyfriend allegedly jumped out of his vehicle, climbed through the opensunroof and began punching the other motorist.
