Need To Know: Your Guide to Birmingham Restaurant Week 2012

The seventh annual Birmingham Restaurant Week kicks off tomorrow, bringing high-class dining to residents who travel the streets of Birmingham daily, as well as a visitors who want to experience Birmingham's locally-renowned chefs, quality food and four-star restaurants.

sponsored by the . This year's three newcomers (, and ) will join 17 other eateries offering $15 lunch menus and $30 dinners. Each meal includes an appetizer and dessert.

Birmingham Restaurant Week 2012 runs Monday through Feb. 3, then Feb. 6-10. New this year is Forgotten Harvest, the event's official charity partner. As part of the campaign "5 Feeds 25," participating restaurants will have canisters set out for diners to make donations.
