Pet owners who let their animals cuddle in bed enjoy better sleep, according to new survey by US-Mattress
People who sleep with their pets enjoy better sleep than those who have pets but don't sleep with them, or people who don't have pets

US-Mattress, the first online mattress retailer that offers the largest selection of brand name mattress sets, conducted a recent sleep survey revealing that pet owners who let their animals cuddle in bed with them enjoy better sleep overall than pet owners who keep their pets out of bed, and individuals without pets at all. US-Mattress President Joe Nashif made the announcement.
“This was a very interesting survey because so many people consider pets to be part of their family,” said Dongna Wang, chief researcher at US-Mattress. “Many studies have shown the positive effects of pets for people’s comfort and wellbeing, and this study highlights yet another benefit of animal companionship. Hopefully these results will tip the scale in favor of individuals who are considering adopting pets.”
Operated through Google Surveys, the study surveyed nearly 550 men and women who either let their pets sleep in their bed, who have pets but do not let them sleep in bed and those who do not have pets at all. Overall, the results demonstrated that women are much more likely to sleep with pets in bed than men are and that people who sleep with their pets report having the best sleep.
