The snow took us by surprise, coming so early this year.

The trees were still showing their bright fall colors.

p.s. In response to a nice comment by Ashley of Bed-Stuy, NY, I went back and made some snow people for the benches near our public library:

They're not the most professional, but I think they're kind of cute!
