Pinkies up! Birmingham Tea Shop Owner Kicks Off First-Ever Michigan Tea Week
Stop by a local tea shop to sample sips from English Breakfast to kombucha.
(Posted Nov. 9, 2016) BIRMINGHMAM, MI — A Birmingham tea shop is starting a new tradition, Michigan Tea Week, in which tea shops across the state will brew special teas from Nov. 14-20, C&G Newspapers reports. Eli Majid, of Birmingham’s Eli Tea Bar, dreamed up the observance as tea shops' answer to restaurant week promotions. Events are planned not only at Majid's shop, but also elsewhere in Metro Detroit, including Royal Oak, Farmington, Ypsilanti and Detroit.
