Powers Distributing Co. hosting Job Fair on April 12-13

Powers Distributing, Michigan’s largest distributor of Miller Lite, servicing Oakland and Macomb counties, is hosting a Job Fair from 4-7 p.m. on April 12 and 13th at the company’s headquarters located at 3700 Giddings Rd. in Orion, Michigan. Powers is hiring for multiple positions from May through September during the company’s busy season in the following departments:

Warehouse – Employees working in the warehouse are responsible for stacking cases of beer and organizing orders to place on delivery trucks. Heavy lifting is required.

Recycling – Employees will work at the Powers Distributing Recycling Center located on the same campus as the headquarters. They will unload recyclables returned from delivery, stack bottles and prepare empty cans and bottles for full recycling.

Merchandising – Candidates will maintain a variety of Powers grocery store accounts; will be responsible for rotating products, stocking shelves and building displays when needed. This position requires a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle. A car allowance for gas reimbursement is provided. Seasonal help or permanent positions are available.

Truck Driver Assistant –This position helps truck drivers deliver product to clients. Heavy lifting is required.

All positions are trainable and no previous experience is necessary. Candidates must be 18 years or older and background checks and drug testing will be conducted.
