Save the Date So You Won't Miss the Scrumptious Tastes of Harvest Festival

Celebrating the bounty of Michigan’s fall harvest, the Harvest Festival will be held at the Birmingham Farmers Market on Sunday, September 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will enjoy the season’s best variety of Michigan-grown produce with abundant quantities filling the tables throughout the market. The event will offer hands-on activities for all ages.

Children will see and pet animals from Bowers School Traveling Farm. Birmingham Youth Assistance will staff the Kids Zone, where children can decorate a straw hat. The Stand Gastro Bistro will be at the event with a chef demonstration and tastings. Attendees will enjoy hayrides (weather permitting), live entertainment, antique corn shelling tools and more.
“This is a fun event where attendees enjoy on their favorite fruits and vegetables while mingling with their friends and neighbors,” said John Heiney, executive director of Birmingham’s Principal Shopping District. “We expect to see several thousand people and look forward to celebrating the incredible fall harvest together.”

In addition to fresh produce and flowers, the market features baked goods, freshly prepared foods, spices, eggs, syrup, jams and jellies, fresh meat, poultry, soaps and dog treats. The market, held from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sundays through October 19, is located on the east side of North Old Woodward (across from Salvatore Scallopini Restaurant and just north of Booth Park).
