Say It Ain't So! Sanders Candy Pulling Out of Birmingham
Company seeking another Metro Detroit location.

(Originally published Oct. 10, 2016) BIRMINGHAM, MI — You're gonna have to go a little farther to get your peanut butter blocks and Bumpy Cakes. Sanders and Morley Candy Makers is closing its Birmingham Sanders store because of a lack of nearby parking, among other concerns, a representative said Friday.
Nearly 100 years old, the candy and ice cream company is a staple in Michigan; the Clinton Township factory tour is a favorite activity for residents and tourists.
Nakia Mills, spokeswoman for Sanders, told The Detroit News the company is scouting locations for a new location in Metro Detroit.
