Local School Wears Purple to Support Pancreatic Cancer Awareness
Shepard Lutheran Elementary School in Birmingham, Michigan held a fundraiser on Friday, November 20 to honor pancreatic cancer awareness.
“The students were so excited to wear purple in honor of pancreatic cancer,” said Principal Janet McLoughlin. “The students could also pay $1 to wear jeans and the funds collected were donated to the Sky Foundation.”
The special “wear purple” day was held during November which is pancreatic cancer awareness month.

Sky Foundation is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization that was founded in June 2008 by Kasselman. Sky Foundation’s governing and advisory boards are comprised of business, medical, and legal professionals who volunteer their time and dedicate their efforts toward raising funds for pancreatic cancer research and awareness.
