TEAM SCHOSTAK FAMILY RESTAURANTS TO HOST STATEWIDE DINE TO DONATE BENEFITING MAKE-A-WISH(R) MICHIGAN'S LARGEST FUNDRAISER

Portion of food sales from all TSFR restaurants will benefit the Wish-A-Mile® Bicycle Tour

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, is hosting a one-day statewide Dine to Donate event on Sunday, May 22 at all of its Michigan Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen, Del Taco and MOD Pizza restaurants benefiting Make-A-Wish® Michigan’s largest fundraiser, the Wish-A-Mile® Bicycle Tour (WAM). TSFR Director of Marketing Barb Pasciak made the announcement.
Throughout the day, 10 percent of all guests’ food sales from TSFR’s owned and operated 67 Applebee’s, 25 Olga’s Kitchen, four Del Taco and five MOD Pizza restaurants will be donated to WAM, which began in 1987 with four friends who challenged each other to ride 300 miles from Canton to Mackinac to raise money for the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. WAM has continued to grow into an amazing, heartwarming journey that includes more than 1,000 dedicated cyclists each year. The funds collected will be earmarked to help Make-A-Wish Michigan continue to grant wishes.
“As TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants continuously looks for ways to give back to our local communities, we are proud to support such an inspiring organization that makes a difference in the lives of children and their families alike,” said Pasciak. “The funds raised from the statewide Dine to Donate will help to ensure that Make-A-Wish Michigan can continue granting the wishes of kids in our Michigan communities.”
Riders will travel across Michigan during the three-day WAM 300 tour, which begins Friday, July 29 and covers 300 miles of Michigan countryside. The 300 coincides with the WAM 50, a one-day, 50-mile ride and WAM Jr., a half-mile kids ride for ages 5-13 on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
Make-A-Wish® Michigan expects to grant 440 wishes this year to Michigan children with life-threatening medical conditions. They believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides them in everything they do and inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids in our Michigan communities.
