Weather Service Puts Birmingham Under Watch

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for portions of the state.

Much of southeast Michigan is under a tornado watch until 8 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service said.

Eighteen counties are included in the watch, including Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Washtenaw, Genesee and Livingston.

A cold front moving into the metro Detroit area brings a renewed chance of showers and storms on Monday as low pressure shifts into the lower Great Lakes, according to the National Weather Service.
