You Can't Know Too Much About Fire Safety; Birmingham Fire Department Open House Oct. 11

The Birmingham community is invited to learn about and experience fire safety at this year’s Birmingham Fire Department’s Open House event, scheduled for Saturday, October 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Adams Fire Station, located at 572 South Adams.

Attendees will enjoy fire house chili, activities and demonstrations for children and adults, a tour of the station, and much more! Portable fire extinguisher and DTE Arcs and Sparks demonstrations will take place during the open house. Attendees will view an EMS and vehicle extrication display, along with HAZMAT apparatus and equipment. The Beaumont One helicopter will also be at the event. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and view the inside of the helicopter.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the community and teaching them about fire safety,” said Birmingham Fire Chief Mike Metz. “We hope everyone will come out and have a great time.”
