Oakland County jogger shot July 30 on county road.

(Originally posted Oct. 7, 2016) Authorities have increased a reward to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who shot an Oakland County nurse in the back while she was jogging in Rose Township July 30.

Alexandra Brueger, 31, was shot multiple times and left for dead on the lawn of a property at 11240 Fish Lake Road, where she regularly took 10-mile runs. Police think she was targeted. A car was seen speeding down Fish Lake Road, where Brueger was murdered, but investigators with Michigan State Police haven’t identified the car.

“Information about suspicious persons or unusual vehicles in the area of Fish Lake Road could be extremely important,” the Michigan State Police said in a statement. “Even if you think your information is unimportant or that someone else may have already reported what you know, please contact investigators.”
