A Touch of Bloomfield at the Ann Arbor Art Fair

There's still a chance to take in the Ann Arbor Art Fairs and see what local talent is on display.

Each summer, thousands flock to the Ann Arbor Art Fair to appreciate some of the best artistic creations available on public display in thisΒ country. And some of it comes directly from the Bloomfield area.

Throughout the week,Β Frank Yanke, of Franklin, offeredΒ jewelry, and Carole Berhorst, of Bloomfield Hills, displayed ceramic creations on the streets of downtown Ann Arbor. They are among dozens of artists from Metro Detroit, including Birmingham andΒ Beverly Hills, showcasing their work through today. The event isΒ comprised of four juried art fairs: Ann Arbor’s SouthΒ University Art Fair; Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Original; Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair;Β and the State Street Area Art Fair.

Featured this year are aΒ wide array ofΒ media, including 2D and 3D-mixed media, along withΒ painting, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry and works inΒ metal, stone and wood.

β€œEach year, it’s amazing to see the streets of Ann Arbor transformed into what is essentially aΒ playground for art lovers,” said Art Fair spokeswomanΒ Karen Delhey in a news release.Β β€œThisΒ year’s fair offers a unique mix of some of the best art from around the world, with many favoriteΒ returning artists, as well as a number of artists who will make their debut.”
