Andover, Lahser Girls Varsity Basketball Clash For Last Time

A bit earlier we told you about the final boys varsity basketball game between Andover and Lahser high schools, but they're not the only match-up to watch this weekend in local sports. The girls varsity teams will also meet on the hardwood in the final scheduled basketball game between the cross-district rivals. Check out today's Weekend Spotlight for more:

Today's Pick II: 'The Battle For Bloomfield' Lahser Knights vs. Andover Barons

• When: 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12
  
• Where: Oakland University
  
• Cost: $5. But Baron and Knight fans that buy a Battle of Bloomfield t-shirt at either school during lunch this week for $10 get free admission to the game, as long as they're wearing it. 
• Why Go: With consolidation to the new Bloomfield Hills High School looming in 2013, this game (barring playoff) should be the final time the varsity squads from Andover High School and Lahser High School meet on the hardwood.
